My battery came out while it was on and now the laptop won’t boot.

Each time I shut down the UPDATE icon appears but if I leave the machine on no updates come down. I am using Windows 7.

If I type something in a word document and save it directly to a flash drive without ever saving it to the hard drive itself, is it possible for someone to read the file I wrote from the hard drive? I use Windows XP.

On Windows XP I moved the Windows toolbar to the bottom of my2nd monitor but everything keeps opening up on the first monitor. Why is this happening?
