That sounds almost exactly like you are using an expired version of Windows 7. Windows 7 can be installed for for 30 days before it requires activation to ensure it is a legit copy. In the bottom right corner of the desktop you should see a message saying you’re not using a genuine version of Windows 7 anymore and that the license has expired.
To fix this all you need to do is purchase a legit copy of Windows 7 and use the serial key to authenticate with Microsoft. Once everything is authenticated the warning message on the desktop will go away and you won’t experience the hourly reboots anymore.
