Dell W3201c TV has verticle line in it

My Dell TV is about 5 or 6 years old and all of a sudden there is a verticle line a few inches long. That was yesterday. Today the line grew another inch. Is this repairable or do I have to go shopping for a new one?
You should definitely be on the lookout for new deals on these before the line becomes such a problem that you can't use the screen at all. Usually these problems don't grow all that fast though so you saying it got an inch bigger overnight points to a larger problem that will probably destroy most of the screen pretty quick.
I've seen dead pixels or lines through monitors that slowly grow over the course of a year or two before the person decides enough is enough and replaces it. To answer your question on repairable or replacement you'd be best to replace it. It's old enough that the repair costs would come close, if not exceed, the price of a replacement unit.
If it grows again tomorrow or the next day be prepared to replace it sooner than later. If it holds off for a while you should use that time to look for deals!
