Hi everyone. Is there any easy way to see what kind of memory I have and see if I can upgrade to more memory?
The best place I have ever seen to tell you what kind of ram you need in
your computer is definitely http://www.crucial.com. All you have to do is
answer the make and model of your computer and it'll tell you not only the
specs your computer came with but it'll also tell you how much memory total
you can put it.
It'll also try to sell you THEIR memory though which is quite a bit more
expensive than other stores (like Amazon.com) but it'll tell you the type
of computer memory you have and need and how much you can put in.
There are also a few computer applications that you install that will look
at your hard drive to tell you what kind of memory you have but some aren't
free, others are buggy, and they are all trying to sell you something. At
least with Crucial.com you don't have to go through an install process to
determine the kind of computer memory you have in the computer.
